New Year, New Safari!
We've added a new safari to our offering for 2026! "Discover Wild Loch Ewe" is a one-hour guided walk along the shoreline at Poolewe and the mouth of the River Ewe, designed to give an overview of all the amazing flora and fauna around the Loch Ewe area. We might see a seal or otter hunting at the river mouth, wading birds on the shore, ducks and divers in the river or an eagle or buzzard flying overhead. We found this bizarre stuff at Bac Dubh yesterday - looking like something from another world! That's what people in years gone by thought too, hence its name, 'star jelly', because they thought it had appeared from outer space. However, some investigation revealed something even more amazing.
